Do 2010 Prius vents individually close fully?

Do the 2010 Prius vents individually close fully and can you vary the amount of air coming through them?

(On the photos I've seen, I can see what looks like a tab/slider for moving them but can't see a dial/slider to individually close or vary the amount of air coming through them).

It might seem a small point but we HATE this in our current car and I forgot to look when we test drove a 2010 prius the other day.

You cannot "vary" the vent output in a gradual way - you can only change the aim. However, by moving that slider past a detent at the end of the travel, they can be closed completely.

That's great to hear. Without dual climate control, closing the vents is the only way to try to satisfy both driver and passenger in my car.

Agreed. And with the large amount of glass, it's nice to be able to keep a light airflow on you most of the time (unless you're the colder one of the pair ).

There's a logo on the vent that tells you you can shut the vent by sliding it all the way left
