Do used Prius's really go for more than retail

I've read that used Prius cars can sell for over original pricing.... can anyone substantiate that? I've looked at a few used prius sites such as Toyota Prius Listings - ALL — Used and preowned Prius cars and used hybrid cars, used hybrids trucks, used prius, hybrid lexus : Main but didn't see any asking more than the sticker price.

Depends on where you are and what the supply and demand is.

There are some people that will pay to get a car right away rather than wait 6-8 weeks or more on a list.

Yes! I bought mine new retail, package 2 for 25,500 (another dealer does not mark up over list and sells 2008 for 24,309). A used 2007 with 27K miles is $27495. A 2005 with 42K miles, $25,995...

6-8 week waiting list??!!?? Where do you live. The wait lists here in Connecticut are 6-9 months.

I live in the Kansas City area and I know a dealer that buys them in California and then sells them back here for around 30K with no dealing (package 2"s). I bought a new one instead. LOL...
