Geez heavy snow and sleet again today...no accum...but 34F this afternoon supposed to be 60F!

    Observations here in northern Virginia:
March 12: Approx first crocus flowers
March 13: Cold spell <20F day
March 17: Last heavy ~10-inch, cold snow, No school
March 18: Spring peepers starting to peep anyways
March 19: First crocus flowers croaking, but they survived the <20F cold and snow
March 20: Spring solstice - Spring peepers peeping
March 25: 3" snow but schools open all day despite freezing roads at 9PM
March 29: Forsythia just starting yellow in sun; Daffoldils starting to come out last couple days
March 30: Sleet and snow day at 34F

Still awaiting our pear tree which is earlier than white cherry.
Neighbors white cherry not near bloom yet.

The DC cherry blossoms bloom anywhere from March 15 t0 April 15.
Last year cherry blossoms were late at April 9 Peak. This year April 9-12 is forecast.
We do have 60-70's temps coming this week.
