I have them on my Focus AND the Prius. They are a quality product from a quality company. You won't have any issues if you follow the installation instructions.

They're a great product that's been around forever.

Is there a 2012 version? I was about to order them on the ebay store, but they don't list 2012 as being compatible at all. I don't want to get them only to find they don't fit the same as a 2011...

The 10-11 Prius is the same as the '12 Prius expect for the front bumper

Then I'm confused why the auction would not list the 2012. If they want to list the 2012 as a compatible vehicle I'll order one.

And why should they? The cars have only been around for nearly 6 months now. I think that's another good reason not to order one from them...

Then why can't anyone that is selling items for the 10 and 11 models ever acknowledge the 2012? It's like they are afraid to take responsibility "just in case" there is a difference and pin that problem on the sucker that bought the item. If a seller is willing to actually take responsibility that what he is selling will actually work for me then I will buy it...

Why would someone want these on their car? I would think they would cause more wind drag and lower the mpg's, especially the rear window one where it would act like a wind scoop :(

I'll let you know. I doubt it will be significant. Personally I drive south on the way to work and north home so the sun is always on my face. These will help a little

Never heard them as sunvisors.. more like side visor, weather shield. ...They do nothing to protect you from the sun.

TOYOTA GENUINE PRIUS DOOR WINDOW SIDE RAIN GUARD VISOR JDM 2009 2010 2011 2012 | eBay

Those are what I have. Genuine Toyota Japan accessories and they don't product any noise with the windows closed or opened.

Why have them? so I can open the window when it's raining so I don't have to rely on the air conditioning to keep the condensation off the inside of the glass.

Are you sure they do nothing to protect you from the sun? that's the only reason why I bought these....

They were designed primarily so that you can open the windows when it's raining so you don't have to use the a/c to clear the windows. Secondary to this, these allowed smokers to hang their cigarettes out even in rainy weather (This was what Australians used to use this for but we had ones that stuck out like the glass was pregnant).

Also you can open the windows slightly so that the wind noise from an opened window for ventilation is reduced a lot. There are many variations to this but the Japanese did originate the 4 window slimline versions.

All plastics are tinted in a way and vary the sunlight differently but the fact they are tinted was someone tinting them darker coz the look "cooler" than the standard gear and of course, when it's tinted, it helps with the sun. I reckon if you want protection from the sun, install curtains like what Hawaiianbuilt did to his one. Pull them out when it's blazing sunny, open it up at night.

Nothing like having absolutely no awareness of what's around you to make driving a little more exciting.
