    They're basically pointing out the same points as Car and Driver: Mileage? No, it's Your Gallonage that Really Counts | PriusChat.

    i don't really get this, maybe that's why they aren't changing. the real problem is that lab testing will never equal actual individual driving. that being said, when i bought my first prius, i expected it to get higher mpg than the taurus i traded in. why did i expect it? because of the sticker. and gues what? it all worked out fine. no disappointment. if they changed it to gallons per mile, the results would be the same. prius still better than taurus.
