Hi, everyone. I'm trying to help a friend with a 2012 Pruis 4, standard audio package. She's gone back and forth with Apple, AT&T an Toyota trying to get her iPhone 4s working properly with Entune, but so far, no dice. Each of these companies blames the other - my guess is that it's Entune and not the phone or provider. The iPhone works alright as a phone but apps like Bing and XM traffic aren't working. Specifically, theses are some of the issues:

-Unable to recognize contacts on the phone
-Needs to be re-paired upon each start, although passwords aren't required.
-Certain apps like Pandora don't work.

Any ideas on what to do. Toyota says to wait for the update and that should fix everything...I'm skeptical. Also. Is there a way to reboot the entire Entune system?

    Thanks for any thoughts,

    Caseous

I'd be skeptical too, but as the update is now rolling out and she should have it soon it probably doesn't pay to put a lot of time into trying to troubleshoot the problem on the current release.

I assume she knows that unless she has hotspot service on her iPhone, some things will only work with the phone plugged into the USB port?

Definitely, try with the USB cable (1), start Entune on iPhone before starting car (2), and pray (3-10)

    - If none of the apps are working there is probably a setup issue. Is the Entune app running on the phone? Is the phone cabled via USB to the system? Like ftl said, unless she has hotspot it has to be connected via USB.
    - Traffic on that unit isn't provided by XM, it is piped in through the phone via Entune. Open the Traffic app on the system and then you should start to see traffic flow data.
    - What do you mean by Pandora doesn't work? Can you provide an error message that you see?
    - What do you mean by re-pair? The whole process needs to be completed again? Some of the connections aren't automatic (Internet) so you'll have to connect each time.

I had problems with my Iphone and the contacts. The contacts were all grayed out on the car. Then I found out in my iphone all my contacts were listed as other and not a moble or home. I changed them to either moble or home then they all work in the car now.
