EV mode and my ICE kicked in.

Guess what makes my PIP ICE kicked in while on EV mode.

I was pulling out of a shopping plaza, my wife and two kids were in the car. I cant see too well since cars parked along the street. I see no incoming cars and I waited few seconds just in case.

The moment I pull out there is this SUV coming. Instead of slowing down, this gentleman speed up and approaching me horning. I hit the gas all the way trying to save myself and faimly.

I dont get people on the road, why dont they just die.

I think the car acted as designed. You called for maximum power, and it delivered. You might have surprised the SUV driver as you pulled away from him, thanks to the excellent low-speed torque.

I have had my first Prius (PIP) for two weeks. And I think some other drivers exhibit aggressive behavior toward the Prius. Maybe because some hyper mile at the expense of others, or they associate the Prius with "tree huggers" who differ with their lifestyle.

People are just very inconsiderate on the road for other people's safety. I drive the speed limit at local street and constantly getting cut off.
