After a lot of research and "sorry, we won't have that car for 6 months"- I finally found the car I wanted in North Carolina! I found out about Jim Barkley Toyota from the dealer section of the forum. Called the dealership and they were swamped with cash for clunkers but eventually spoke to a salesman. A great guy named Allen. He had the car coming in and put my name on the list. A day later the car was mine- just had to wait a week for it to come in. They are great with pricing and he took care of everything for me. We drove down to Asheville, NC and picked up the car today! It is a beauty. Took it for a spin in the Blue Ridge mountains. I'll try to attach a picture.
Congrats! My dad has a black III but I couldn't convince him to get the solar... Hope to see ya driving around NY sometime!
That is great! I wanted the solar but could not justify the wait. Must admit that not having it though, there are times after the fact that I "could" justify if I had a time machine. You did the right thing getting what you want. I love reading stories with happy endings like yours.
