Trying to use the 2010 Prius Fog light kit for DRL's, turn on independently from the head lights, I assume if you hook up the red wire to a wire that will only trigger power on ( instructions use brown wire from the ECU, fogs only come on when the head lights are turned on) when the car is running and off when it was turned off. So I still want to use the fog light switch but I want the fogs to operate on there own without the headlights on. Anyone have any suggestions? My Prius is the 3 with Nav.
Someone recommended using the 12V supply wire to one of your auxilary power jacks in the console in place of the brown wire recommended. This does sound like the easiest wire to locate.
some states and provinces don't permit fog lights without headlights or tail lights, or to operate with the high beams
