From a Gas-Guzzling Truck to a Beautiful New Prius!

Hello!

I am the new owner of the 2009 Toyota Prius. It is the base model in a beautiful silver. My parents were looking to buy me as a gift for graduation (actually just finance it, while I pay for most of it). My mother has had a great track record with Toyota vehicles. At first, we just went to look at the Corollas, but somehow ended up buying a Prius.

So now, I am now part of the Eco-Friendly phenomena. After experiencing the car, I still contemplate whether or not we should've went with the Corolla, but I love this car overall. The space, the dash, and the whole look. It may be the base vehicle, but was definitely a great choice. And I can't really complain, since its better than my beatoff 1997 GMC.

I will definitely be enjoying this car and will spend my time around these forums!

Life must be tough when as a student you have to drive around in a 1997 model car.

I went from a 1999 F150 to my 08 Prius a year ago and couldn't be happier! I had driven essentially the same truck for 15 years (had a 1992 until 2004) and never thought I'd have anything else....I was wrong!
