Any thoughts/experience with a "front" mounted camera...in my case it's just a matter of time before I hit something with the front while parking....

The lexus H250 had one of these. I test drove one. It would come on when going under 3 or 5 miles per hour. Two great uses, parking of course and pulling out of a parking space after backing in. Just like a rear mounted camera, because of it's field of view being about 160 degrees, it could "look around the corner". I thought it was great.

Would love one. I keep pulling my V into the garage and thinking I'm about hitting the lawn tractor at the back of the garage. I get out and I'm still 2 feet away.

When I had a big old truck many years ago, I tied a washer to a string and hung it from a garage rafter so it would tap the windsheild when I had pulled in enough!

I've actually heard of doing that with a tennis ball. And it would work. Except that then you've got this tennis ball hanging from the ceiling to avoid whenever you're working in the garage.

I just put a strip of wood on the floor where I park and drive up to it and when the wheel hits it I know I am in far enough to close the garage door.
