I am looking for double circular ring type with reasonable front windshield coverage (that folds in minimal space).

If someone can refer me to amazon or local auto chain for the proper item I would appreciate it.

You may have seen the one sold here in the shop, but if you didn't it's here:
    PriusChat Shop : 2010-2011 Toyota Prius HeatShield Sunshade - Front [1215] - $32.00

It rolls up to form a tube instead of the kind you're talking about but is a perfect fit in the front windshield and if you roll it tight, you can just toss it on the floor in the back seat... That's what I usually do in the summer when I have to use it.

Are you looking for a sunshade for a Prius? I see in your profile you don't own a Prius.

I am actually looking for a easy to store (don't need side windows etc) type.

I use the same sunscreen from our former nissan quest mini-van. Sorry, I don't remember where I purchased it but probably wal-mart or a national chain auto parts store. It's a large or van size.

It's large enough that I don't have to flip down the sun visors (two less steps); rather I can tuck the screens in between them and the ceiling.

It consists of two individual rectangle-ish shaped screens but combine and twist into one small circle for storage.

I store it between the center console and passenger seat and it doesn't cause any problems with them or moving the seat.

Doug, this is similar to what I am looking for... Perhaps tiny bit smaller (don't mind flipping down the visors)

Do you belong to Costco? They have these kind in different sizes and take returns VERY easy.

I've still been looking for a circular sun shade to fit my gen2. I've tried both the Jumbo (largest size available) from Target and Walmart and they are both still too small even when used vertically.

I bought one off the PriusShop. It's of great quality and performs perfectly - but it is bulky. The unit rolls up and I flip it in the rear footwell when not in use. Does takes a bit of juggling to unroll and install but the coverage is close to 100%. I do like the idea of the smaller, easy to store types pictured in other posts below.
But if you don't mind the size, the roll-up version works very well.
