I just wanted to pass along to my fellow prius owners. My last time I gassed the car I got the plastic piece that keeps you from losing the gas cap caught in the piece of metal that makes the door pop open. At first I thought it was frozen shut. The dealer thought so too when I called because I had washed the car the day before. I ended up using a small piece of plastic ( for you golfers a ball mark repair tool used to repair greens) and wedged it gently to put outward force on the door. When I lifted the lever on the floor it popped open. The metal on inside still had the plastic strip stuck there. I was easy to bend the tab open again and the door is good as new. I just wanted to pass this along as a heads up to be careful as you close the door that the plastic strip is out of the way.
