I am getting the following error message when I click on New Posts. Anyone else or is it just me?

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2203645 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/priuschat.com/httpdocs/forums/includes/page_header.php on line 182

I just checked several new posts and no problems or error messages. Maybe kill your browser and restart it to see if that makes any difference.

I think it's pretty universal. I can see new messages from the individual forums, but I can't "View Unread Posts".

    I'm using FireFox

:) Less clutter, no problems since switching to FireFox a few weeks back. It's "FREE" and, to some degree, you can customize it to your individual tastes.

I just posted about this on the priuschat usage board - there's a worm going around that attacks PHPBB-based forums. PC is patched so it should be safe from infection, but it does still create a large server load (the extra "guest" users you can see listed as active).

I left a note there for Danny on how to fix the problem when he gets back (needs to be done in the apache server config).

I've resorted to going to the individual forums like Evan until the problem gets fixed

Good early morning to all of you --

I am on vacation right now (currently enjoying high-speed internet for the first time in awhile at a Hampton Inn) but was made aware of the issue a few days ago after speaking to my brother (who didn't come on the trip). There wasn't anything I could do until tonight, and unfortunately we had some downtime today apparently. I apologize for that. Something happened that filled up the sessions table in the database, and it didn't allow anyone back in until I cleaned it up.

I'm also aware of the slow load times recently on PriusChat. I believe a lot of this has to do with the modded software that PriusChat runs, as it relies much more heavily on php & sql than normal phpBB. I hope to look into this more when I get back, but there must be some things I can do to get the site to speed up. We are running on a dedicated server, which I share with one other person and we only have about 20 websites on the server. There's no excuse for the slow page loads. For faster page loads in the meantime, I suggest that you read through the archive (http://priuschat.com/forums/archive), which is less graphic/php dependent and seems to run faster.

I'll be back home tomorrow night or Wednesday morning (in Mt Vernon, IL right now) and will further address these issues then. I apologize for my lack of response to these issues, I thought that I could leave for a week and not have to worry :)

The error message is back. Now it says:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 19986728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2219121 bytes) in /home/httpd/vhosts/priuschat.com/httpdocs/forums/includes/page_header.php on line 182

I'm getting an extended SQL error when I search for new posts. Or sometimes just a fatal error.

Whatever it is, it looks like it's starting to affect a lot of site usablity.
