In order to replace the LEDs, u will prob have to create a whole new board & wire up a new LED driver since the 1 that will be in there will not be able to power brighter LEDs. This will not be a small job.

Once us testers can get a set, we'll see just how bright they really are.

Fellow member robby3 (who has modified Valenti lights with rear fog LEDs) attemped this and said it's not possible to replace the individual LEDs without damaging them (he has the same units that Bino has). DRLs come on at 50% power anyway so I don't see why they'd need to be that bright. I'd get them for the DRL look anyway.

You can PM robby3 and he'll help you out as he lives in Europe. I know it's the law in the UK that DRLs must be off when headlights are on. We have no such law here and I'd rather that they be on all the time.

If they're not that bright, I was going to skip wiring them to the relay that turns the DRLs off when the parking/low beams are turned on.

    Sorry,

Revier delayed a bit on samples. They seemed to send these by regular international parcel instead of UPS.

It takes 10-15 days to arrive here.

Will post up pictures when I got samples!!!

panson, I'm interested. I'll probably take a set once you get all the kinks sorted out. I'd like it with the black housing, even better if you can get it in carbon fiber.

If the Valenti lights selection process is any indication, he'll pick his testers after the samples have arrived. Everybody may want to be testers, but they'll be purchasing whatever color combo the samples are and that's not always desirable.

Hey keep me in the loop... I am in Houston and can pickup local as I did for tail lamps. I am a bit confused with what numbers and descriptions and prices. Can you repost options, numbers and pictures? Are you posting pictures on TWA web site? If so what the link again? To be clear I am thinking about GB not a tester. You can PM if needed

Panson already informed us that the one in the OP is a no go as the test unit didn't fit the USDM Prius well so all we have is the concept you mentioned as well as the 2010-11 units.
