The GM rectangle was on the '70's cars, too. It comes and goes. It wasn't on my Cobalt SS for long :D

I felt the GM logo on the fenders was offensive. So inside of 4 years by their own admission GM managed to flush their reputation down the toilet. Sure, GM sucks & is incompetant but this is a ... (insert Chevy, Caddy...etc. here) can now be heard throughout dealers everywhere they are left.

Will they also remove the substandard design from their 4 remaining brands?
How about removing the inefficient drive trains?
Spend more on design and less on green washing promotion.
I can see the next move, should the Volt make it onto the showroom floor of Chevrolet dealers it will also find its way onto the shop floor of the other 3 brands wearing a differrent logo. Share the green glow.

If you consider HP vs MPG, their V8 is probably the best in the world. However, you can always argue there is no use for that much HP.

Not defending, but they do some things very well, amazingly. And GM had the top selling vehicle (even before trucks became top) for many years, so someone out there must have liked them.
