Well I sold my 05 on Saturday and have been sick at my stomach for doing it. We needed the money but now when we look at what our planned $13k would buy we just don't like anything. So, looks like we are going to go with a 2006 Prius.
It is the package with leather, fog lamps, but no navi...
I am just wondering if you can add navigation to this year model? Also what option is available for me to use my screen to watch DVDs with this year model? Does anyone have this for sale?

I'm confused -- why did you sell your 05?

I have an 06 without navigation. I bought myself a Garmin Nuvi 660 and a beanbag dash mount. I think this is a much better option than a built-in system. It's cheaper, you can move it from car to car, program it at home, download extra points of insterest, download MP3s, etc. And from what I've heard -- an altogether better system than the Toyota's built-in navi.

The leather on the car you are considering is not factory installed and nav can't be added. You should be happy with a stand alone unit.

how do you know the leather is not factory? did that only come on the navi cars or something?

really it does not matter. the dealer called me this morning and i took too long, they sold it yesterday so the hunt continues.
i sold the 2005 because i had the option to make some money (and i was tyring to consolidate bills- though that went out the window when we started considering buying another prius).
anyway, the hunt continues, let me know if anyone has one for sale.

Factory leather comes only in the top package. The nav comes in the option package one level lower.

Hold off on buying a car until after you (1) take a course on money management from the nearest community college and (2) draw up a budget for the next year.

I have an 06 we are trading in tomorrow with all of the options that you are looking for.
The only problem is 13K won't touch one with all of this stuff. Package 8 is H.I.D, Leather, NAV, Bluetooth, and we added 7" DVD Headrest monitors. Good luck on your search.
