They are quoting me @ $23,895 out of the door on the blizzard pearl out of the lot, they said if I get winter gray I can get the deal minus $395, no idea what color to get. Prius Two 2015 Bay Area.

$23,895 is probably a Prius II 2015 out the door price? That about right price

The Bliz will hide dirt and scratches a little bit better than the dark gray, and it will be marginally cooler during the summer, but it seems like every other Prius that you see is white.

Your call, but I'd go with the BP and try to get them to split the difference with you at least.

    Good Luck!

Yes it is a prius 2, I don't need all the fancy stuff because I will just use the car for commute. Why the Winter Gray is less $395, cheap paint?

Prius II I think the blue look sexy. If you get the Prius III the smart key work on both door. The II only work on the driver side. That $23895 was almost what I paid last year after all the rebate from state and federal for my Prius 2014 Plugin out the door price.

If I were you, I wait until end of 2015. $23,895 isn't really a good deal. The Prius 2016 will have a full redesign. Heard was 140HP vs 135HP.

No, it doesn't have the pearl in the paint. Only the white has pearl. Hope that help.

I'd get the gray. Because I like it better.
Ultimately, that should guide your choice. What do you like best?

I drove to a dealer far out of my area to get the color-combo I wanted. It boils down to what's more important to you... price or looks.

The Toyota Prius 2016 should not be far off. I would say top is $1000 difference for Prius II 2016. Usually it is around $500. You will be getting more HP and better gas. If your car is working now. I would wait. The price the dealer gave you isn't a steal. That is basically what all dealers would have sold it.

Because it is "Pearl" paint - additives (mica??) in the paint to make it "sparkle"...

Since you don't seem to care about the color, I would skip the "Pearl". I have it (used car), looks fine but my imagination goes to what it would take to do a seamless touchup.

Blizzard Pearl is a $395 option and it costs more because of the additives that are not in the other colors. The MSRP for a 2015 BP, including delivery fee for zip 85381, is $25,420 plus tax and license. If you don't care and just want to save the $395, get the gray. If you can wait until the 2016's arrive, you might be able to save even more on remaining 2015s. And while the 2016's are supposed to have more HP and better mileage, I've seen reports that at least some of that (new battery technology) may be extra-cost options. I haven't seen any official specs yet, so I don't know what base models will actually provide in the way of increased HP and mileage. 55-60 mpg has been mentioned, but 2016's will probably not offer very good discounts, if any, at least initially. With gas prices so low, it's hard to predict what street prices will be when the 2016's arrive.

When we were buying in fall of 2010 the blizzard pearl color was $295 (Can) extra. US prices tend be to be better, and that's not that long ago: is $395 the new norm for that color, is it a case of one dealership padding the deal a bit?

We looked them over, really our preference was solid white (non-metallic) which is not available. So then just started looking around the lot at what they had, settled on Grey in the level with 17" rims.

(Good luck doing that today: was down there a couple of days ago getting oil change stuff, there was ONE Prius c in the showroom, saw ZERO Prius on the lot.)

The price they are giving me is $21,690 not including the tax and fees and the sticker window price is $25,645. The sale price on the toyota event is $22,535 I got it down to $21,690. If you do calculate it from the window sticker price of $25,645-$21,690=$3,995 savings. You think we can do this much savings on a New 2016 when it is released??? I think on a new model vehicle you can't get the price down on the sticker price right? I have no idea. Sunday is coming, it is really hard to sleep and it is just friday and I need 2 more nights and I can not stop myself thinking about it when I am ready to go to bed making me sleep very late like 4am late darnit!!! lol

If I may add I don't think when the 2016 comes out toyota financing event will still be going on because I get 0% interest for 60 months so why pay cash when you can use that money and make some more money you know.

Toyota will always have 0% APR. They start at 1.9, then .9 then 0%. You hardly see Honda doing 0APR. That is one reason people buy Toyota. Don't pay attention to manufactur pricing. They can put 50,000 for Prius and sell you for $25,000 + tax and you think it is a steal and want to jump on it. Check out truecars.com. They are very good at it. Just add tax and license on top. They will give you quote online in your email.Truecars you will deal with the fleet manager not no sales rep.

I have a 2015 Sea Glass Pearl Model 4. I had a 2012 Winter Gray. The longer I had it, the less I liked it; I guess that's because it reminds me of what the skies look like around here for about 9 months out of 12... I bought it for the solar roof option, which was nice, but I could do without. Sounds like a stupid reason to trade cars, but hey - it's my frikin' money.
Seriously, the Sea Glass Pearl is a really nice color, IMHO - it changes from greenish to bluish in different light.
