I just got my car back from the dealer temporarily while they wait on a couple final minor parts that they are ordering for the repairs.

I went to sync my phone with the bluetooth handsfree function and found that nothing happens when I hit the off-hook, hang-up, or voice button on the steering wheel. The other steering wheel controls work fine.

I noticed that below the steering wheel area under the dash there is a white connector that seems to not have anything connected to it. Can anybody confirm whether this connector is related to that function? If not, any ideas as to the problem? I know that it's the dealer's responsibility to fix it, and I don't intend to fix it myself, but I figure it's a lot easier if I can tell them what is likely causing the problem.

Just tell them the buttons aren't working. The first thing they should check are the connections.

Sounds like they may have missed connecting something...

The dealer or service Dept should know instantly if they see the connection...

As it turns out, it's a moot point anyway. I was hoping to be able to point to the exact problem so that when I take the car in to fix the last couple parts, it won't take them two hours of troubleshooting to get it figured out.

However, this morning I turned on my lights, and when the lights turned on, the information display (speed, gas gauge, tripometer, etc) all turned off, along with the back lighting for the radio and A/C displays. Turn the lights off and it comes right back on.

So now my car is going back to the shop anyway rather than keeping it while they wait for parts, so they'll have plenty time to figure out the other issue while they're at it.

Isn't your light dimmer just turned down?

Yeah, I figured out that one late this morning and was hoping nobody else would notice my stupidity.

Now I'm unable to get the heater to blow hot air even when I turn the temp to hot. It's always cold air. However, the last time I had the car was in August, so I've never used the heater before, so I'm going to keep messing with it for a while before I try to blame the car this time. :p

That white connector is actually the OBD connector. Don't worry about that, it's what you use when you want to hook up the car to a service device, or scangauge or something.
