Have PHEV kits caused any OEM parts to fail?

    I am trying to gather information on any OEM vehicle parts under warranty that have failed due to a PHEV kit.
    The MD-Tech Kit (aka Enginer type kit), attaches to the OEM battery and does not make any changes other than the 75kg weight.
    Have there been any known failures attributed to this PHEV kit, (or any other PHEV kit), on the OEM vehicle battery or other parts while under the original OEM warranty?
