I was just reading some of the manuals, in one page, it says that you should have received 3 keys:

    1) regular key
    2) regular key with an aluminum tag
    3) valet key

I was not aware of the valet key, until i read the manual.

Anyone got a valet key, and what does that look like?

    No valet key for 2010.

This is my first Toyota after years and years of Hondas and Acuras. The Toyota manuals definitely have the feel of being translated from original Japanese. There are some awkward translations and some inconsistencies. The Honda/Acura manuals seem more polished to me.

Two smart key fobs with a mechanical key inserted in each one. No valet key. Unfortunately Toyota doesn't seem to waste any time or money on their manuals. They tend to take generic sections from other vehicle manuals and cut and paste them into the Prius manual and sometimes they are not applicable.

Is that typo still there? It's a holdover from Gen1.

    * Again, the 2010s do NOT use a Valet Key.

I got two - one with and one without the aluminium tag.
    What is a "valet" key?
I know about the valet service, but a "valet key" what is that?

A valet key would let you start the car but for example not unlock the glove box if it had a lock or on a sedan get in the trunk.
