Soap is supposed to make water "wetter." If you have a hard spot in your lawn where the grass is thin, try a little diluted Simple Green or carwash detergent on the area, then water well. Might take a couple of doses.

Due to my wife's health issues, we now have access to handicapped spaces when she is with me. When I'm by myself, I too park out a ways, in an end spot if possible. No dings in my 12 year old Lexus or my 2 year old PiP. (knock on wood.)
But it is no guarantee against idiots. Year ago, while working for a funeral home, I drove a brand-new limo to a doctor's office to get a death certificate signed. This was a medical building with a huge parking lot, so I parked all by myself in an end spot at the furthest possible point from the entrance to the building. Sure enough, I came out to find an old pickup truck parked next to me and a door ding in the limo. The guy was probably really proud of himself.

    Unbelievable!
My wife doesn't generally like walking from the boonies to the store, so I drop her off at the entrance and then I park out in left field and meet her in the store. Funny thing is- after that she'll come home and walk on the treadmill till she reaches her 10'000 step/day goal

Many people who live on Long Island but take the train to work in Manhattan have "station cars"- beaters just for parking in the free-for-all, brutal LIRR parking lots. They often take the same cars to supermarkets and malls now because the parking is so congested and hazardous there too.

Sure. That certainly happens. A friend of mine said you could park your car in a 100 acre field and some idiot would park beside you in a $50.00 car.

Grass doesn't seem to mind soapy water at all.

I being in California, all cars are clean, I try to wash mine by hand weekly or at least every other week. I see many older Prii on the road, and find that the paint on them hold up really well, Toyota used some really good paint, I never see any with clear coat damage from the sun.

Haven't used the wipes, but they appear to use the same solution.

I'd not want to be under water in my Prius. No telling what all that electricity would do.

That's not commendable, you need counselling, lol.

I wash my Pip and Prius at least once a week, too. Hhaha. My friends and family think I have an unhealthy obsession with Prii.

    I admit.. I am a little obsessed... hehe.. :)
Well I do point out every Prius (which is very often) we pass by and take pictures daily of mines.
