I can't figure out how to mute the navigation system. I found the volume control, but it doesn't have a silent option.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Hold down the "mode" button and it mutes the system. Not sure if it mutes the nav, though.

Thanks, Crebble, but that will mute everything including the stereo, right?

I sometimes like to use silent navigation to track my progress (ETA) or as a reminder for a place I've been, but am not 100% certain of. I don't need the step-by-step directions and find it annoying to hear them over my audiobook or music, so having a silent option (which my Toyota Sienna did) is wonderful.

If there's a way to do this, I'd be thrilled.

Can't you just select the speaker icon on your map and lower the volume from there? This shouldn't affect the volume of anything else.

Is there anyway to mute the navigation voice when you are on the blue tooth phone? Her voice is really annoying
