This sounds Toyota ad at Toyota.com sounds very interesting. (I'm not promoting Toyota advertising), Their contest asks the question, "How would you use our technology to make a better world?"

According to the ad, five winners may have their ideas brought to life and get their pick of a new Prius, Highlander Hybrid or Venza.

The example given is, "What if we used a Prius solar panel to venitilate temporary medical tents after natural disasters?"

(I posted this yesterday at FHOP, but I think it should be on this forum.)

    Happy Motoring,

"ideas for good" a blatant rip off of Brita & Nalgene's "Filter for good".

Maybe...and as I think about Toyota's "ideas for good" I'm convinced that Toyota is looking to expand their technology (beyond automotive) into new markets, using consumer ideas as an initial starting point for their R&D and/or marketing.

I'm too much of a Prius newbie (or too stupid) to think of a good idea. I wish I could use their solar roof panel to run my home heat pumps.

    Happy Motoring,

    Tom

So what if it is, it's still going to help our world, or could... I wish that every large public firm would 'steal' an idea that could help the world a little better, one idea at a time. I'll submit ideas to both of these campaigns, if I could.

As for the 'new prius' owner who felt he could not suggest ideas, Pffff.. Submit anyways, maybe your idea will not change the world, but it could be a catalyst to a change that may...
