HVAC air control directional settings not working

    Had a Gen1 in the shop today, turning rotary knob on HVAC panel didn't route air to the appropriate place. (couldn't send air to face/floor/defrost etc).

    Problem was a piece of the white plastic mechanism under the dash was missing on the car.

    This is what it SHOULD look like. (view from drivers side under dash just left of center area of car)
