I have just finished reading the book "Hybrid, Electric & Fuel-Cell Vehicles" by Jack Erjavec & Jeff Arias.

It was published by Thomson Selmar Learning copyright 2007.

It includes introductory material including electrical basics, motor and generator basics, battery basics, hybrid basics and types. In my opinion this book makes a good introduction and seems to be well balanced.

Perhaps some Prius-Chatters would be interested in reading it. I found it in my local library.
