I've emailed the link to my agent to see if my insurance company is planning a similar move.
    Thanks for the info. B)

I just got my 2006 insured by State Farm and they have NO discount for having a Prius.

Perhaps they noticed that hybrid owners are driving more conservatively to maximize MPGs, and their at-fault accident rate could be down.

    Maybe Allstate will follow...

I was just quoted an "Alternative Fueled Vechicle" (available for alternative and/or Gas/Electric Hybrids) discount by Farmers in CA. Maybe it's just a CA thing tho.

Dispite "no hybrid discount" State Farm charges me less for my Prius than they were for my 1998 Honda Accord EX, same coverage. I was plesently surprised because every other time I've bought a new car my rates have gone up due to the increased value of the vehicle. I ask my agent why and she told me it was because of the safety features of the Prius, extra air bags, VSC, etc.
