I live about 5 miles away from where i work. Its also a downhill ride, most of the way. I snapped a shot of my mileage after i pulled into the parking lot... I am very impressed with this car so far! I've gotten over 70mpg about 5 times now, and i've only had the car since Tuesday. Unfortunately on the way home, i only get around 45-ish mpg... so i'm still working on uphill driving!

Drop your speed if possible. My morning commute is uphill (50' to 1,200ft) and I have a best of 54mpg and my downhill evening commute best is 80mpg. That was using special tires. Normally I get 50mpg and 75+mpg. Once I start driving over 60mph the mpg drops and at 70mph I'm back into the low 50s for a total average. :( Speed kills..... Mpg :)

My uphill commute is between 35 and 45mph. I think i need to learn not to push the accelerator down so hard at first.
