I just had the TRD suspension package installed on my brand spankin new (less than 100 miles) 2007 touring edition at the dealer. The old springs and shocks are now for sale to anyone who wants to upgrade their standard ride to a 2007 touring edition- best price takes it. These parts look and are brand new/clean in the boxes! I am located in the Los Angeles CA area.

I had my TRD suspension installed 2 weeks ago. You will love it. Did Carson install for you? I paid $700 with alignment at a local Phoenix dealer. I called Carson and they said $600 to install. How much did you pay. Just curious.

Yes, Carson installed it for me - $700 including the center brace installation too.

How much difference can you tell between the touring and the TRD suspension?

I have to keep reminding myself that my Pri didn't come like this stock; the suspension pieces are awesome, in my opinion. Like you, I also had mine installed when the car was brand new.

    Welcome to the club!

I'm *so glad* that I found out about these parts, via PriusChat...hope you like them as much as I do.

Am thinking about removing the BT brace and installing the TOM's pieces, too, but not certain yet.

Don't know about the Touring vs. TRD, but the non-touring was definitely a bit flaccid in comparison.

Yes, it is sooooooo much more enjoyable to drive- I thank god I found this PriusChat site. If I had not read about your experiences with the TRD upgrade, I may not have gotten the car at all- seriously. I am used to more sports car-like vehicles for driving. However, after reading about your TRD upgrade I realized that an upgrade existed- I had no idea. I mean, who would buy a Hybrid and care about handling? Most people laugh when I share my experience of upgrading the suspension- they say "why?"! For many people it does not matter what suspension is on their cars (and that's fine), but I wanted the mileage and I appreciate good handling/driving cars too. Actually, the touring edition is not a bad ride and a big improvement over the standard ride, I just wanted -More- of the same improvements.

I have the TRD Suspension and all 4 Tom's braces installed on mine. You can feel the difference. I recommend this option to all who want a firmer sportier ride.

So, you paid $700 for the install. Did that include the new parts too?

    Thanks!

Very glad to hear your has the TRD Sportivo installed on a Touring edition. Still from even the TRD Japan website, they say "not for Touring"

So you have obviously confirmed that the TRD Sportivo suspension can be installed onto 2007 Prius Touring. Sweetness....

My Touring springs and struts are sold, as is the Tom's upper strut brace.

The car handles great with the TRD s/s and Tom's braces front and rear.

    (All I need are tires).

I still have the BT plate if anyone is interested.

If you're going to put the TRD on the Prius, why get a Touring? Why not just put them on a regular Prius?
