If its alarm is going off.

A car alarm has been going off in the neighborhood. I just ran to check up on the car. I am working evening shift so my hair is a disaster and I throw whatever on clothing-wise. The alarm seemed to be coming from the other direction of my car so I decided to check on it anyway in case the cops needed to be called. I almost thought it was the old lime-green Honda Insight. I was on the phone with my husband when I told him this and he said forget them then, since we have seen the owners blast through the stop sign on the corner, once nearly hitting us. It wasn't the Insight, but I noticed that their car has been broken into recently because there was plastic taped up on the side hatch window. Not surprised. they leave a lot of crap back there exposed.

I never found where the car was, and the alarm is still going off. I think it was in the gated parking lot of an apartment complex.

While strolling around, I was just wishing that when your alarm activated, you would get a call alerting you of this. Do they have car alarms out there that do this? Kind of like ADT for your car.

There are car alarm systems with pagers, and Lo-Jack also has an early warning option that will call, email or text-message when the car is being driven without a special fob in the car.

I just did a quick google search for 'car alarm with automatic call alert', and saw a bunch of links for this. Seems that there are multiple companies that make car alarms which will make a call when triggered.

I wonder what you would pay for that type of monthly phone service, so that it can call you?

Yeah, it says $389 + monthly fee. Wonder what that would be. Should hunt around more...
