If it was originally purchased in a CARB state (NY is one) and is currently registered in a CARB state, yes.

+Evidently you will buy this vehicle from a dealer. Depending on the mileage and color, I have an offer for you that will be hard to beat.
I own a 2012 winter gray with 30k miles for sale, I'm in Long Island , NY.

So if I take it to Indiana, I lose warranty? How does that work?

You can drive where ever you want, but registering it in a non CARB state makes it a non CARB car. Interestingly, Toyota only seems to check original purchase and current registration, so it can go back to being a CARB car.

A 2004 is going to be out of warranty no matter where you live. (I have no idea where you live, a location in your profile would help any question you ask)
