Well, I didn't try to time the purchase of my new car to coincide with my birthday, but that's exactly the way it's working out. My new Prius will be ready for me to pick up in about 4 hrs! And today is my Birthday! :cheer2: Pkg IV Silver / Misty No other options except mats, liner, and cargo net AND, because it's already winter, my mpg will naturally start out low(er) and only get better with spring and summer! I'm only getting 19 mpg now with my Saab, so anything above that is an improvement. And yes, I will take a picture and post it, and also update my Priuschat profile with the info.
Congrats and happy B-Day! Do you remember this??? ___ Congrats!! I too am waiting (and saving) for my first Prius. My goal is to pay cash for my car purchases, so I'm being financially responsible and utilizing my current car as long as it makes fiscal sense to do so. But I drooool over the Prius and am right here in spirit. My day will come eventually. ___ So did you pay cash for it as planned?
Congrats, you did it! Here is one tip, if I may. After you reverse the car and drive forward, you don't have to stop first before shifting it to "D" gear. That's because Prius never shift gear. Reverse is done by simply spinning the electric motor backward.
i also took a couple years to make my purchase....now have a shiny blue metallic 2010 prius. you will love it, and the 50 plus mpg.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY,,,,, and HAPPY NEW YEAR enjoy the best purchase you could make......smart move!!!!
Yea! CONGRATS! How exciting! Prius is awesome!!!!! Now that I have it, the people who were my worst critics are liking my new car! T.
congrats and happy birthday! keep us posted and enjoy driving past the gas station with a smile. hope to be in the same club soon.
Congrats and welcome to the club! I am so jealous you live in Raleigh. I have been a Hartford/Carolina Hurricanes fan for most of my life.
G'day goodonya and welcome to Prius ownership. Oh and have yerself a great birthday. You do realise it is tradition that other people get you presents don't you?
thanks everyone! Oh you betcha; that's the only way I will purchase a car and now I start saving for my next one in 10 yrs! Except for the $2K deposit the dealer agreed to put on my Discover card (I want that 1% cash back and that's the limit they will charge). Wish I could have put the entire thing on my Discover Card to get cash back. Dealer put a full tank of gas in it! Came with 169 mi on it (transferred from another dealer across the state). I've got a lot to learn and lots of reading to do. Anyone want to buy a '98 Saab that needs some work? It's an otherwise great car that was well-loved. ;-D
