Introducing Yoda!

    Hi everyone,

    I'm Kirsten, and I brought home Yoda, a 2008 Barcelona Red Prius (package #2) last week.

    I'd been researching the Prius for a while in the hopes of replacing my '94 Civic sometime later this year; I knew I wanted a red one that was neither the base nor the fully-loaded model. We went to the local deadler intending to get a better idea of the model options, and lo-and-behold, Yoda was sitting there after 2 failed sales. We drove her home that same night.

    We took her on a weekend trip to St. Augustine last weekend and adored every minute of it!

    The dealer said that the financing didn't come through for either of them... I'm sorry for them, but happy for me at the same time! :)

    Yoda loved St. Augustine...roads with speeds of 45 MPH--flat and wide. It was perfect!

    My sister-in-law calls her Prius Mr Peabody (from the Rocky and friends genre) for all of it's gadgetry. We are currently getting ready to make a Prius order and think we will call out P2.

    Thanks for all of the well wishes. KC, I like your color choice, too. The Toyota dealer only had in three colors-this one, silver and tan (driftwood?). Luckily the red was my first choice, so it worked out well!

    We got 57 MPG on the first fill-up, which was 5 gallons and included all of the driving to and from St. Augustine. I was elated! It seems like I'm averaging closer to 51 or so city driving, but time will tell...

    I got my red one after someone said they wanted it and were coming back in the day I went to the dealer. Whoever it was did not return and I decided to be daring and buy a red car. I love it.
