I just got my 07 Prius last night. I ordered a new one 5 months ago but it still hasn't come in. I found a used one for a great price. When I called the dealer to check on when they expected mine to come in, they said another 6-8 weeks. I cancelled my order and bought this used one. The next day the dealer called and said my new one would be there in 4 days. Sorry it was too late. I am now the PROUD owner of an 07 touring Silver Pine Mica pkg#5 Prius. Today will be a great day full of driving and learning.

Congratulations on your new "toy". Must be hard to get em in North Dakota, down here I just got back from the dealer and they had 4 "Base" with Packages 2 and 6 and 2 Touring Package 6's.
Had ordered a Silver Pine Mica but found a same colored used one, Absolutely love it!!!It was suppose to be a #5 pkg but it's only #3. No matter tho, The car is more than words can explain. I have to admit I use to think that the people who posted here were stretching things a bit when they would talk about how much they loved there cars. I was totally scared that I'd be let down when I actually got the car and would drive it. But I'm still riding on the Prius High.
I searched the used prius on the toyota website, and noticed that the used ones are not that much cheaper than the new ones. How do I find out the price for the new prius, 09, package 2. They only show the price for the standard. Eroxie, I didn't know you can cancell the order, I am waiting for my December paycheck to come in, for a downpayment.
Go to toyota.com Arrow over the pRius and click on Build Your Own. You put in your zip code, and then you select the package color and options you want. TA daa, you have the MSRP for your area.
Funny, how dealers have your car a few days after you cancel the order. This happened to me with a Ford dealer. After 12 weeks waiting for a 1979 Pinto, I went there and got my deposit back and then went to another dealer. The original dealer had said six weeks to get the car I ordered (interior and exterior colors, etc.). I called at 6 weeks, 9 weeks and then 12 weeks. And a few days after I got my money and bought a car at another dealer....low and behold I get a call my car is in. Too bad. Too late. Now if they had had a way to TRACK my car and let me know where it was in the process and when it would arrive, they would have had a sale. If they had bothered to keep me informed or even answer my questions when *I* called *them* they would have had a sale.

Congratulation ! I've had mine for 3 weeks, 1150 miles and 46.5 MPG...you're gonna love it... I wish I had known an owner sooner so I'd have realzed what I've been missing. This site is great to learn about your toy. I'm still learning but I promise you that a few hours spent here will be worth LOTS. Merry Christmas :welcome:
Most do have a way of tracking orders from placement to when it will arrive on trucks (not sure about Toyota's or others that don't build to order). It is just one of the many games they play. Sometimes they sell your car to someone else and just re-order.
Thanks to this site, I was able to answer so many questions I had about the Prius before I even had a chance to drive one. My kids use to think I was nuts being on a site so much before owning the car but not anymore. In fact they actually think it's a cool car. That's quite a compliment coming from a 19yr old, two 21 yr old and a 27 yr old, all girls.
Welcome eroxie (and sabrina too). Silver Pine Mica is the coolest and fastest color, and also gets the best mileage.
