:-) Is it down hill to Marietta, Georgia?

    The wife and I drove 526 miles southbound on I-85 early last Monday morning, from Chester, Virginia to Marietta, Georgia, for a visit with our daughter, grand-daughter and FIRST great-grandson!

    It may be downhill to Atlanta as I always suspected . . . we averaged 53 MPG going down and then, Thursday morning, we jumped back onto the interstate and returned the same way - and, coming home, we averaged 49 MPG.

    Carol mentioned how her drive time (and better driving habits) contributed to the better early MPG's, but you know, she always takes credit for the good stuff . . .

    Anyway, 526 miles southbound @ 53 mpg and the same northbound is 49.
