Today I saw an article by a local columnist (mercury news) about how he thought the new Prius was "sexy". He got a lot of reader mail calling him nuts. What do you guys think? Is the Prius sexy? :wub:
Yes, but the Prius is a different kind of 'sexy' compared to a Ferrari or '70 Chevelle SS. To me, the Prius is 'sexy' because it has a big ol' sexy brain. Intelligence can be very attractive.
The Prius is seductive. HSD is sensous. It turns itself on. Get's it's engine running, knows exactly what wheels to spin with what motor. Regenerative Breaking turns heat into useable force. Then when you had enough, it can slip out the back way silently in EV mode. Sexy...what other automobile can even come close? The icing on the cake is at the end of the day, with the gas mileage, The Prius is also a cheap date.
To me it does look sporty and sexy, especially when you factor in all the high tech it comes with. And with the PWR button added it does not fall behind many of the other sedans on the market today!
Sexy looking, NO. But the super mpg's and low maintenance makes her sexy on the inside. This reporter would probably say the Nissan Cube is the most gorgeous car ever built.
Funny, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think the best angle is 3/4 from the front. Really like the front end and sides - the rear view is....kind of bustling big. I certainly understand why - Kammback. But the tailights are quite large. The wedge shape - the top of the headlights hit my mid thigh - the tailights my mid ribcage. Like an arrow slicing through the wind. If I get hit by a Prius while walking - hope it's going forward. Sexy? well...... Sporty? yes, in a lot of respects. Practical? You bet.
Has anyone ever seen Dick and Ann in the same room? I thought they were the same person for a while. Then I realized one had a huge male appendage and the other was an old man that shoots his friends in the face. (Hate mail in 5,4,3,2....) Sorry, I take delivery tomorrow and was just feeling giddy. And since giddy didn't seem to mind....
The one I saw yesterday in Bar Harbor looked sexier than the purty little surrey with the fringe on top...

The G3 takes a definite step towards being sexy. It's not the "in your face" style of a Porsche or Ferrari. It's more like, "Yes, I'm sporty. Go ahead and take a second, closer look. Because there's so much more of me to like!".
