That sounds like a total lie to me; aren't *all* PIPs pre-ordered at this point? That being the case, how could they not know that this was your preordered car? Furthermore, I have to believe that they look at VINs before they start tacking on bloated dealer add-ons. I'm driving from Nashville to Alexandria VA to buy my PIP in about a week; I certainly hope I have no problems like this with my purchase. Like any other industry, there are some great companies and there are some real sleazebags. Sounds like the dealer in this case is one that should be avoided. When I had a problem with an alarm company here, I tweeted about it every day for a month (still doing so). Might not do any good, but I get some satisfaction out of it anyway. Bob
Sorry, to hear of your troubles. I will not go newar this dealer, ever, I've had issues several times over the years. I've never bought anything from them because I couldn't trust anything they said. I've lost my 2008 Prius due to and accident and now am looking for a Plugin. Anyone have any suggestions? John
One problem with this thread is that not enough people are seeing it--just the small number of people looking at the plug in prius. The other prius forums have much more traffic--and it seems these customers need to be warned about this dealership as well. is there any way to cross-link this thread on the main prius forum?
Briana and Dana of Toyota Motor Sales is going to ensure that a check gets cut and mailed to me!
My thoughts exactly - this dealership should be censured in the wallet... lose allocation, some kick-backs, co-marketing opportunities, or other things that will cost them real money. And they should make sure they can't win any "awards" for things like sales numbers, etc. And that's assuming they can't just retract the license to sell Toyotas... and permanently cut them off. Not like there aren't enough dealers around there anyway!
Tomorrow is pickup day!! :cheer2: The car arrived at Carson in the late evening today. Briana had put a rush priority to get the car out of freight status to make this happen!
Congrats.. you'll soon understand why everyone who bought through Dianne has been very happy. Enjoy your new car
Got my PIP yesterday and had phenomenal service with Nathan and Dianne! I finally felt the excitement and happiness and love the PiP more than I thought I would! Carson Toyota was amazing and I can't wait to refer it to everyone. A huge thanks to everybody who supported me on this journey and a GIGANTIC hug to the friends of this forum, the CEC, Briana, Dana, Erica, Dianne, and Nathan!
Enjoy the new Plug-in and keep us posted on mileage and EV range. Congrats! --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?3ehysu
Congrats. Glad your ordeal is over. Now, I'd like to focus our attention on that PiP at Toyota Place. Anyone want to put a wager on the outcome of that PiP? I bet it will be sold to the next highest bidder. What a shame! op2:
Truly a pleasure to have met you, and to help you work things out... when I meet such nice folks I just shake my head and wonder how/why ANY dealer would have been so terrible to you.
