The dealer called me today and said my driftwood Prius is finally in. He blamed the long wait on striking deliver drivers, which I did indeed read about in a different thread in this forum. He says that there are about 4 deliveries coming into the dealership today -- all with sold Prius', Camry's, Corollas, and Yaris', everything already sold. He says its going to be a nightmare because they're going to be having a ****load of people all coming in over the next few days to pick up their vehicles. I'm going Monday to do the paperwork and picking it up on Tuesday.
OMG!!, Wow, that is great, but hey, it is only 4:30pm on the East Coast, how far away are you from the dealer that you cannot go there tonight sign the papers and come home with it,,, If I were you, I could not wait till Monday and Tuesday,, that would ruin my entire weekend,, don't you want your Prius like right now???
Oh, believe me, I would if I could. But I don't get the check to pay for it all until tomorrow Otherwise I would be taking care of it right now.
I just got off the phone with my salesman. Mine hasn't arrived yet today as was anticipated. It still could, but it looks like I'll be waiting until Monday or Tuesday as well. Even if it is Tuesday that will still only have been a 3 week wait.
TY, I will. The dealers is dropping it off at work for me tomorrow at noontime. I can't wait! I got the long weekend for my wife and I to figure everything out.
ugh...so jealous...I'm still waiting for mine. I'm currently in week 6, dealership told me 6 to 8 weeks, so I'm hoping to get a phone call within the next two weeks.
