Jealous Neighbor

Hi, I picked up my Prius last Wednsday, package 2 black, I had to wait 3 weeks for it but the wait was worth it. I traded in my 18 mpg Jeep Grand Cherokee, I loved the Jeep but hated the gas milage since I have a 60 mile round trip commute. The best part, my nieghbor just bought a Jag, and he was jealous of my Prius.

Glad I found this forum, I have already found the answer to several questions ie hybrid battery drain in heavy traffic. The purple bars concerned me, but now I understand that the ICE will kick in and keep it charged.

I am getting 50+ mpg ...

Prius Chat has saved me hundreds of dollars, and with my MFD dying today (on my 2004 with the bad MFD design) I found info here that will save me thousands. The information I've found here is worth it's weight in gold.

Congratulations! I know what you mean about gas mileage since I'm driving my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee until my Prius arrives.

Hey Bob, I'm just north of you in Clinton, look for me in the Magnetic Gray with save the bay tags (not that there aren't a thousand or so of those).

I hope you didn't have to pay the dealer to take your Cherokee. I traded my Liberty a year ago--when it had some value.

I know what you mean, the salesman went to great lengths to show me how worthless my SUV was retail. Still I got 4000 for my 2004 Grand Cherokee and managed to save a dibble of my pride.

Cool, What dealer ship did ou get yours at? I got mine at the Waldorf Toyaota. I will keep an eye out for ya, mine is black, still with temp tags.

Same dealership, this was our second purchase from them and they were extremely courteous and helpful with both purchases (not too knowledgeable about the Prius though). One word of warning though, they will overfill your oil if you have them change it. I'll keep an eye out for you around Waldorf as we are out there all the time, especially around Home Depot and Sams.

Ouch....$4000 for a $35k SUV. That really hurts! Where do you commute. I'm on 270 & 495 everyday. I might happen to see ya. Welcome to PC and give a wave (or holler :hornif you see me. A black Prius today is definitely gonna be HOT!!! Three weeks is a pretty short wait....WOW!

HOLY CRAP,, they only gave you 4 grand
I traded in my 2005 Saturn VUE 4cyl SUV and got 9 grand for it, and it is only retailing for for 13 grand used

i cannot believe people only get that much for a SUV. very sad.
could you get more making a private sale?
