Ok, I found the link to the local (for me, SF Bay Area) Prius club, but when I went there to find out about it, it said I have to have special permissions to view the site. Do I have to be a card-carrying Vegan, or what?

This means that when you view http://priuschat.com/forums/index.php?c=10 you'll see "No Posts". That is, of course, unless you want to be a member of that Local Club by joining their Usergroup. Joining a Usergroup is free & easy, and you can do it all with a couple clicks of the mouse. Simply click Usergroups at the top of the PriusChat website, select the group you want to be a member of, click "View Information", the click the "Join Group" button. Now you have full access to your Local Prius Club's discussion forum! I hope this makes it easier for everyone to stay focused on overall Prius discussion in the main forums & local Prius talk in the Local Club Forums.
I made these screen shots for people joining the Chicagoland group. Just modify intelligently for your situation and you're golden. Oh yeah, the menu along the top was different then. Now it's in the upper-right corner.
