Just bought a 2014 Prius

    Hey all-
    just bought a 2014 new Prius Two during the Black Friday sales here in Florida. I think I got a good price--17,899 (22,400 list). It's in Blizzard Pearl. I was lusting after Persona edition but the price difference was just too much to stomach.

    A few questions--what are the best seat covers to buy? can someone link me to their favorites? I want durable and spill resistant (I have dogs and kids) and not impossible to put on. Also, favorite weather mats and cargo mat? I want to get these in before I mess up the Bisque interior! Finally, looking for a bumper guard and front bra.....do they make these for the prius?

    Congratz on the purchase!

    Floor mats- I use the Toyota All Weather Mats, mainly since my dealership added them into my purchase at no charge. There are several other options available here in the Priuschat Shop.

    Seat covers-Personally, I don't have a set of seat covers(yet!), but I'm leaning towards the leather set from Clazzio.

    Have you considered just getting a set of Bisque colored dogs? ;)

    Thanks. I like the look of the leather also, but seeing as I am in Florida, and the rumor that they're super hard to put on, I think I will stick with fabric. I wonder if i need to get cordura or if that's overboard.

    Congrad! Go with Clazzio leather. They have Thanksgiving sale right now. $30 off no tax and free shipment. I got it installed on my Prius 2014 Plugin Base. Love it!

    I am nervous abut the leather in the FLorida heat--my husband has leather seats in his car and they are all cracked due to heat. They do look AMAZING, however!!!

    First thing I would do is get it tinted. The heat in FL is killer!

    3M or VentureShield film will protect more than the bra will. Get as much of the car done as you can afford including the rocker panels, the cups behind the door handles & the top of the rear bumper cover. Removing the remainder of dead bugs is easier on the film than on the paint. A rubber strip across the top of the rear bumper cover may be a better alternative.

    I've seen bumper pads clipped on for valet parking in the garage,

    If you've got dogs in the car a lot, good to keep an eye on your hybrid battery fan, maybe even put a filter on the inlet: on rear seat back, on passenger side.

    Thanks. I bought the bumper thingie for the back top strip, right under the back door. I also bought weathertech cargo and floor pads, a dog cover for back seat, and will pick up seat covers at Costco this week.

    Can the 3M be applied myself, or does it need to be professionally applied? Link? ( i have never owned a new car before, so never concerned myself with this much).
