Just got my Prius last Thursday and love it already. I just joined this forum so wanted to say Hi to everyone. I hope to get some good info here and well as post any I may find, or experience. I have attached a pic of my new, red Prius.
:welcome: Congratulations, and welcome! PriusChat is full of great info for a first-timer. I've learned a whole lot from the forums here myself. BTW, wow, red sure is a great colour! I haven't seen too many red Priuses around where I live.
Randy, Congratulations. Your Prius looks great. Enjoy it. I ordered a 2008 Barcelona Red Metallic Prius with option package #3 (Combo C) last Tuesday. Dealer says 10 days to 2 weeks. How long did it take for you to get your car?
I ordered mine on a Friday morning and had it the following Thursday afternoon. It did not have to be made, just brought in from another dealer in NC. I like the red, it is flashy.

Congrats on the very wise purchase. We were going to get a red one but there was a mixup at the dealership it was coming from and they sold it to someone else. Since we were so disappointed (not really) our dealership took 300 bucks off the seaside pearl one because it wasnt the package we wanted. We had rented a red one back in December and really liked it.

Congrats and welcome to PC!!!! My wife drives a Barcelona Red and I wheel around in Driftwood Pearl. They are a blast to drive and we get asked questions all the time about how they work and what kind of gas mileage we get. We naturally try to beat each others latest MPG figure which sometime leads to some spirited conversations/competition. I will try to post some pics of them together in the driveway. Both vehicles have the bisque leather interior which contrast nicely with each of the car colors. Good luck and enjoy your new Prii!!!!!
Thanks for all the welcome messages, and just a side note! I am still on the first tank of gas that the dealer gave me last Thursday and the gage shows just under half a tank. MPG is impressive so far, at 45+ and this just the first tank. WOW, I am impressed! Fun to drive, comfortable, economical. What more could you ask from a car?:clap2:
