The battery in my key for my 2006 Prius died. I replaced it. Now the automatic key detection thing doesn't work (when I approach the car I can unlock the door unless I dig my key out and press the button). Also, I used to be able to just keep the key in my pocket and the car would power up - now I have to place the key in the key slot in the dash to power up. Like I say though, the door lock and unlock buttons on the key work just fine (they didn't when the battery was dead). What's up with all that? Thanks!

There's a button under your steering wheel, by your knees. Press the sks button to turn it on

I hope not. I'll check voltage, but I replaced it just one or two years ago.

Sounds like the new battery is bad.
