Are the numbers Koenigsegg is giving for the Quant plausible? They sound ridiculously good. Maybe it won't be available for ten years or maybe it'll cost $500k, if they even bring it to production at all, who knows. Still - recharges in 15 minutes and has 310 mile range? Yikes.

And solar cell paint? Far out. With designs like this in the works, I don't fear so much for the future of the automobile. Detroit's another matter entirely.

The car does not exist. That's paramount. That said...

It's top speed is faster than a Tesla Roadster, but the Tesla (which does exist!) goes to 60 mph faster. The claimed range and charge time is probably possible, at a very high cost, but the solar paint is a gimmick: The amount of sunlight that falls on a car is too little to make a real difference in range, and solar paint is even less efficient than conventional PVs, which are not very efficient at present. Thus their claim that the paint will "further increase range," while literally true, is effectively untrue.

One more dream car, promised, but probably just some publicity guy's fantasy. Look at their picture, and tell me if you think that's a car or a cartoon.
