I don't think it's going to cut it. Maybe Toyota shoud take a look at VW's TDI commercials.

Compared to the Prius C, Game of Life Campaign- it's pretty good.

But it reminds me a lot of the original "Harmony between Man, Nature and Machine" commercial for the 3rd Generation, from the aspect that once again Toyota has The Prius (now the whole family) driving through an artificial environment.

I'd give the commercial a "C" maybe a C+, but I can't go much higher. That type of animation is hardly ground breaking, and for people who don't know, or don't appreciate Prius, a prejudice that I notice is that they often don't think of the vehicle as being a "real" automobile. I don't know if Toyota does themselves a favor by consistently presenting Prius in these cartoonish fantasy environments.

I'm okay with it...but at some point I'd like to see Toyota stop humming or swaying with fake Trees and Bushes.

The Prius(s) IMO are a fantastic group of vehicles, they do NOT have to always be presented in a "fantastic" environment. They can hold their own in the real world.

    Here I like this better...

This is a car that get’s misunderstood,
By Rednecks that live in the backwoods.
Now there are four for all to use
They all have the same name so don’t be confused…

Let's Hum Hum Hum Hum, Let's Hummm
    A Prius for everyone.

Now there’s one the size of a Van.
A small one Consumer Reports calls a Tin Can.
And even one you can plug in.
Use your neighbors outlet, you’ll make a new friend…

Let's Hum Hum Hum Hum, Let's Hummm
    A Prius for everyone.

Oh boy. Humming through an entire commercial, eh? That's just great. I wonder why Vetts don't use the hum to advertise . . . . or giant 4x4's . . . or Harley . . . or exotic sports car. Obviously they don't understand Toyota's marketing genius. Because after all - we'd NEVER want to see anti gas hog / anti fuel waster / anti terrorist supporting country cars advertised the way 'hot' cars get advertised, right?

such exploitation would just be terrible -
oh yea . . . thank you toyota - and all green car manufacturers . . . for taking the high road - because I'd hate to think of associating the green car as anything but a hum.

Glad you seem to be enjoying this spot overall! It was a really fun one for our team to work on and we're excited to see it hit the air. One of the goals was certainly to appeal to a wider audience, so we'll see how it tests among non-Prius owners. I'll be happy to share some results when we have them.

Electric Me, you made us laugh. I’m just thankful I don’t have to get into any heavy debates over it with you for now! I’m having flashbacks to Harmony days!

Now, I liked the Coach T commercial. Maybe the next time another animation commercial is done, it should be directed by Tim Burton.

Need to drill it into people's heads that the c, liftback, and v, you don't plug in. I get asked constantly if plugging in my car at night is annoying.

A little too cute maybe...animated with little people...It's more like a toy car.

What about the commercial with the big football player saying, "My shoe size is bigger than a hybrid".

The message should be...great gas mileage city or highway, low maintenance, great guarantee.

A thing that bothers me about other commercials lately is when they state gas mileage as being up to 40 mpg, but they don't tell you that it is highway. They imply they are almost at where a hybrid is without the extra expense, but they don't tell you city mileage is 24 mpg.

Just replace Prius with the male member and you'll see how really naughty the song is. (especially the second verse) Hysterical really...

I've seen this ad too, and liked it from the very first. They used my Red Prius C for the commercial too. :)

So the commercial is catchy and has a hook. As far as connecting on a personal level with men, it could be listed as one way to emasculate your man...buy him a Prius.

Toyota aren't trying to kid anyone about the nature of the Prius.
However weird they get, the commercials are all the same: this is the Prius, it's efficient and has low emissions and it's bigger/it's smaller/it plug ins.

But what this commercial really makes me think is: those people are driving way too close to each other.
