Yeah knew that, they didn't fair too well at LeMans either. Prius C would be a perfect chassis for a hot hatch hybrid.

I have a track record of criticism of recent Toyota commercial outings. So just not to get labeled as consistently complaining I'll say the commercial was fine.....

But really that commercial is no real representation of Hybrid performance. Pushing the vehicle that hard, my guess is that almost all if not all the power is coming directly from the engine, just like any vehicle.

    Plus the increased heart rate?

Well my philosophy is never get into a car where the driver is wearing a helmet, unless you yourself are also wearing a helmet.

Pushing the vehicle that hard around that track, and feigning a slide into a brick wall? You'd have to be a little more than mortal for your heart beat to NOT increase over 120...you could be riding in Geo Metro...

Oh well, my priorities aren't with tire squealing track performance whether we are talking Hybrid or not....but I'm not against trying to improve the product or diversify the product with an expansion into this realm.

I think it strange that so many people value an automobiles ability to function and perform in this manner, when I think for the vast majority of us, who do not have access daily to a closed track, the chances to drive a vehicle in this manner are almost non-existent, and even if the chance or reason arises, one would have to question the wisdom.

That being said? My Honda Fit corners great, and I sometimes like accelerating through corners while everyone else is braking....Hypocrite I Am.
