Is there a list of 3rd gen TSBs on this forum? I'd love to see if any of the TSBs address any issues that I've noticed with my car.

Thanks!

Here is the list that I have copied so far from this forum. I am approaching 36k miles and did the same thing. I am taking my car in this week for the two brake upgrades.

I think this would make a good "sticky" . A good complied list, JD!

So, the 11th digit of the VIN tells us which plant the car was manufactured at?

Yes, the Japanese plant codes are:

0 = Tsutsumi plant line # 1
1 = Tsutsumi plant line # 2
5 = Fugimatsu plant

Here are some more TSBs:
Note: The "Pulling to One Side" TSB does not list the Prius but was included with Prius TSBs on the Toyota web site.

VIN label could not say C25. To identify the Toyota's plant 2 digits are important only. 1st and 11th. For Prius the 1st is always J (=Japan) and 11th as Tumbleweed wrote few posts above. All Prius VINs should start JTDKN36U.....

Inside the L/H door opening on the "B" pillar is a label with model, frame number (VIN) colour, trim, date built and PLANT, which in my case is C25, I kid you not.

Here is a link to what he is referring to when he says "plant c25" (from a Toyota Estima .. not a Prius .. but, it was all I could quickly find)

Estima T & L - Estima Owners

It's not in the actual VIN --- its on the other info plate.

done...but we need a good way to keep them all listed in one spot. If someone will let me or the mods know when there is a new one we can add it to the top.

Not to put the onus on anyone, but maybe Dianne could help us keep the list up to date? Aren't dealers typically the first to be aware of the TSBs?

Sorry Dianne, but there's just so many good things said about you and you're so knowledgeable that your name jumped into my mind :)

This is an area that I think it would be good to have on a page all by itself that only mods can update. TSBs and RECALLs as a possible section. Then a link with the PDF and a brief summary of what it represents. Maybe I'm taking it a little overboard, though. Sometimes I come up with a good idea, but the execution is a different story lol.

There was also one for a headlight condensation issue, appears to be T-SB-0284-10. I don't have the pdf, but edmunds.com shows:

:( Just saw the one for the XM Satellite Radio issue; I have experienced that issue myself, but now I am way out of warranty (60k miles). I don't think I would want to pay to fix it unless it was cheap enough, but I have a feeling it would be pricy. It doesn't happen enough to be too annoying, but it would be nice to fix...

Seilerts just recently added the latest TSB about the Engine Knocking at Startup. I have added it below.

That TSB is not for the knocking that everyone is complaining about.., it resolves a droning or buzzing/vibration noise in extremely cold temps..., not the brief knocking most people are having on a cold startup...

Seilerts indicated that it was for the Engine Knocking. Why are you saying that it is not? Your source?
