    Did anyone else get the Gifts 2007 catalog from Sam’s with the Lithium-Powered electric car by Hybird Technologies? They are selling a lithium powered electric car with a NASA promotion for 35,000 dollars. It comes with a 5 nights and 6 days lodging at a resort with airfare included to the Kennedy Space Center, VIP shuttle launch viewing and private tour.

    The Car is made by Hybrid Technologies, using the Daimler smart for two and Kokam-lithium power cells designed by NASA. It has over a 100 mile range, top speed of over 80 mph and recharges in five hours with 110V or 220V. It will be available on Nov. 8, 2007.

    I saw it weeks ago. Seems to be a 'one-off' type set up. Soooo ... if one doesn't mind sending it back to God only knows where for possible re-work, ... or mailing off $35K (plus shipping) to who knows where, for payment ... hmmm. I'm sure they'll deliver, once they get my check, right? Maybe I better re-think this :p

    Other than my possible paranoia (what, you mean there ARE no fly-ny-night EV companies ?) ...The NASA trip DOES look fun.
