I previously reported an unfortunate experience of "losing" the Prius I had come to a deal on because it was already being dealt on even though we thought it was available and reserved for me.

Longo followed up by reserving an incoming car of the same package and color for me from their allocation and making sure they got it ASAP so I could use the clunkers program thus saving and honoring the deal we had made.

This comes in an environment where they could get more money for the car than the deal I made, and where the lower priced packages are scarce (not even able to be reserved from most dealers) because of the clunkers program.

They showed a high degree of good faith business practice by following through for me and getting me satisfaction in being able to close the deal we spent the time working on.

Longo really did go the extra mile to fix the situation at a time in sales when they really didn't have to - to me this shows they are a good, honest dealer to work with. Thanks to Longo Toyota, in So. Cal.

I have edited my prevous post to reflect their actions and I am perfectly happy to have the egg on my face because they fixed the issue that was really just created by the crazy, circus-like sales environment that the clunkers program has spawned. I support good faith, upfront business practice and I owe it to them to update the story because of their focus on resolving it. This turned out to be a great dealer!

Same good experience here. Got $750 under MSRP from Longo and had it delivered to my house sight unseen.
