Seeing that WA area post got me wondering if anybody else would be interested in organizing a group purchase? Maybe 4 or 5 people together can negotiate a good price to buy from one dealer.
I saw the WA post as well, and I can't help but think that state borders should matter too much. I have been getting my cars shipped to me for quite some time now and the cost is negligible. I still suggest we post this on the gotogroupbuy.com website. We might be able to pool a larger order together. Dealers get even better rates to have their cars delivered and there might even be an incentive for them to do it for free.
I would like to know how much of a discount a dealer is willing to give for a group buy. It seems that even individial buys are getting some for discounting.
I got a great deal all by my lonesome at Toyota of Hollywood. Well below MSRP. Made the deal in July, left a deposit, finally got the car I wanted 2 weeks ago and the dealer honored our deal. Best car shopping experience ever. Check with the internet guys there, Ali Sepehri and Reza Laleh. Tell them Nina sent you from here and I'm sure they will hook you up. p.s. there was another thread called something like December Purchase or Buyers. Several of the people who posted there were also from SoCal. You might want to search for it and see if they know about this thread.
